Default what is this warning indicator?

this past june i bought my '01 AR with out manuals, which i'm sure describe the meaning of the different warnings on the dash trip computer.
anyways, the past few days, i've been getting a warning which looks like a fountain of some sort with fluid shooting out the top... any ideas on what this is indicating?
thanks

Coolant level.

Open the hood, a tank on the right hand side of the engine as you look at it is probably empty or almost empty. Immediately refill it with AUDI COOLANT ONLY, do not put anything else in there as it will destroy the cooling system.

You probably have a leak somewhere in the system as it should not evaporate like that all by itself. HAve it checked. I put my bets on auxiliary coolant pump which is very common point of failure on 2.7t engine... mine is also leaking ...

yeah i think washer fluid is correct as the coolant level is just fine. couldn't quite tell due to dim lighting in the garage tonite, but it seems the washer reservoir is low, but i'll confirm this tomorrow.

if it looks like a volcano, it should just be washer fluid. normal washer fluid is fine.

or just make up your own - a little automotive soap and water, works like a charm in the summer months

Default Poor Washer Fluid mileage

This thread illustrates one of my pet peeves. In Canada, where it is dark a lot in the winter, you go through a ton of fluid even if trying to go light on windshield washing. Every time you wash your windshield, and the headlights are on, the headlights automatically wash at the same time. This gobbles up fluid at a prodigious rate due to the high pressure nozzles down there. Even with the large reservoir, it seems like I see the spouting whale indicator every second week. What a pain.

Has anyone added a switch to allow you to disable the headlight washers, and re-enable them only when you need to?
