I'm thinking about buying an 01 or 02 allroad 6spd. I originaly wanted an 01 A6 2.7 sedan but the wagon just makes more sense even though it is a lot more $. I'm expecting to pay between $27 and $29 depending on what year and so forth for a car with under 40k miles. What will it be worth in 3 years with 75k miles?

I believe only 5-7% of allroads are sold with the manual tranny. 5-7% of 5500 is 275-385. Not a lot of cars. That means 2 things. First, they will hold a bit more value in the long run. Second, you gotta jump on a good one when you find it. Try the advanced search on autotrader and you'll find something like 279 tip allroads and 6 manuals.
If you're near NorCal, I'd say take a peek at Milpitas's car.

2002, alpaka with cream & beige interior. Drove it out of the dealership with 11,867 miles on the odometer. The dealership I bought the car from was the one that made the original lease.
I take care of my cars, so if anyone wants the right of first refusal to purchase this vehicle for $40K in 2007, feel free to drop me a note! I'll certainly sell an option! :->
