Mine has a poster on the wall that says "if you think good German car technicians are expensive try a bad one" 
I agree as even my local dealer has been up to fix one break two when I take it in, so it really pays to ask around, especially if there is more than one alternative...my other alternative in a dealer is 90 miles aways, but...usually worth the drive as they fix it correctly the first time.
