Default Wheel spacer problem with my new RS6 Reps...

Just took delivery of the Disc Tire RS6 reps. I test fitted my H&R 12mm spacers but they will not sit flush with the hub of the wheel. The CB of the wheels are 57.1mm. I tested the spacers on my OE wheels and they sat nice and flush. Is this a problem with the wheel or spacers?

Default I would think that if the hubcentric is fitting then the the wheel should run true.

if you are worried about the over lap of the surface I would think that it was over kill on the wheel manufactor.

Default We have the correct spacers in stock

This is why we made them. 15mm, 20mm, 25mm

http://www.hartmannwheels.com</a

Default *Exact* problem I had.

Ended up using no spacers since the wheels were luckily the correct offset natively. Same 12mm H&R spacers, too.

Tapping wouldn't do it - it's a problem of one cone hitting another.

I spoke at length with Hartmann, and they claim to have figured it out with the new spacers (or wheels). See response below, I guess.

Default been there, done that.

12mm has the "cuff" on it and is not made to seat into oem wheels, or the other way around... I cant remember why, but afer talking to H&R, only 8mm or 15mm(or bigger) will work with those wheels (I had the same wheels and the same problem). I ended up sending my 12mm back and getting 15mm. I also later found a killer write up after some heavy searching on the audiworld forums. It had pics of all the spacers for h&r and explained the differences. It was about a year ago when I went through this, and it was a HUGE PITA. Finally when I got the right ones (15mm) I had challenges finding lugs that would work because h&r was out of stock for the ones that go with the 15mm spacer. Good times. It was a year ago and i am still bitter. However, after looking at before and after pics you will see that it is well worth it. Good luck!
