Default where to buiy (online?) replacement tire valve stems

Hi All,
Been a while since on this forum, but that's a good thing since means the car has been running well and survived another winter in tahoe without being in a ditch like countless others...

Car has a consistent very slow leak ~2psi/week on my nokian wr 18"
Brought it in to a reputable tire shop (larkin bros san francisco) and they charged me 25 to fix, but hasn't fixed the prob (they never said what they did and I didnt ask as they are very busy

brought it back today and they said there are some bubbles near the stem, they tightened it but said I need a new one and have to order from audi

Should I bother to order online to go to the dealer?
I did some quick googling and searched this forum, allroadfaq and ebay for stems
stock 18" rims, non tpms (to my knowledge)

If online, does someone have a url for that?
Can one just buy the seals? or does it just make sense to buy the whole thing?

Seems they cost about $30

Also saw some posts about rubber stems...

Thanks
Gideon

PS here's some recent tahoe carnage (not our car)

thanks for info, I went to another tire place and they fixed it with a regular valve stem and didn't even charge for the work!
-1 for Larkin Bros
+1 for Robert's tires
(both in SF)

That's one crappy tire shop. The one piece one cost like 30 cents and the 2 piece chrome are like $1. I used to work at a tire shop and if some one was asking for a valve we would just had them a few. That's a really bad shop.
