Default Whew... Its been a long three weeks of work but it has been worth it.

After a terrible experience with a local dealer, I swore off Audis for a while. 3.5 years later I had my fill of the "grass is greener on the other side" and came back with a '01 6sp 2.7T allroad. It needed some maintenace and I had a few upgrades I wanted to do so I tore it apart in my garage and finally have it back together.

Here's a brief list of the work done:

Tie rods (inner & outers
Front CV boots & one joint
Timing Belt
Air/Cabin Filters replaced
Samco TBB
AWE Intercoolers & DTS
Stern Snub Mount
710Ns & all OEM vac hose replaced
Stasis Motorsport 355 front kit
Ferodo DS2500 pads/new rotors in the rear
18" Hartmann RS6 reps w/Falken 452s
Various VAG-Com mods & 605 pulled
APR 93 oct chip
Stratmosphere SS
HSport Sways
Clear Corners
Custom Exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers
Ipod adapter & All weather floormats

With that said, my favorite (and most expensive) mod was the brakes, with the Hsports 2nd. The allroad is an amazing car, I am constantly asked if it is brand new.

Thanks for all the info on this forum and on allroadfaq.com, I wouldn't have gotten anywhere without it. My sig pic shows its current state, as I am now saving up for the stage 3 jump if/when the turbo lady visits.

Default thanks, do you know if they have shrouds made for the ER intercoolers yet?

Just curious as thats what turned me off to them in the first place. Unfortunately I ended up hacking up the AWE ones just to get my bumper to fit.

Great looking car, thanks for the advice back when i posted on AWOT with car choices. I am happy I waited to find a 6sp.

Default Thanks! It was nice to just wash it today. The progression

over the last weeks was motivation to keep going. Each time I drove it after a job it got better. Can only imagine what stage 3 will be like, too salty for the budget right now though.

That is impressive. Did you run the DTS before the snub? Impressions on the snub?

Default I did and bang for the buck, the snub was the most noticable improvement.

$26 went a long way in helping the bump between shifts. It is a must for how cheap they are. I ordered the Stern mount from PureMS.

The DTS is nice but it still left some of the lurch in there. With both combined, its a whole new feeling.

Default Cool. I wouldn't put it in myself...

I hear it's a bumper off job. Is it a good idea to pair it with the timing belt? I can get my audi tech to throw it in then I think.
