Default stupid noob-

I have an 05 2.7 and am still confused as to what i need to create a hitch/
i think that I need
1- the big black bar thing that attaches somewhere to some holes on my frame
2- some electrical type connection for trailer lights
3- a post that plugs into the hitch
4- a ball to screw onto the post

is there a way to buy all of this at once?

#1 is what I am selling.
#2 is available here: http://www.eurohitches.com/adapter-1...hrrvhdld26io03
#3 is here: http://www.amazon.com/Curt-Manufactu.../dp/B00371VKQW
#4 is here: http://www.amazon.com/Curt-Manufactu.../dp/B0009T6EA2 or locally at any place that sells hitch parts.

I was originally going to offer a complete package with all of these parts but decided against it because everyone needs something different and to keep track of everything and have to stock up on Amazon parts was not worth it to me.

Yes it will that is the part I am recommending as a receiver adapter for bike racks or cargo carriers.

You can get it on Amazon for a little less money:

Thats great to hear. I already have several 2" receivers with ***** on them. This will save me money in the long run and allow me to use different drops or elevations for different trailers. Also the curt website rates this at 500 pounds tounge and 5,000 weight limit.

Default Successful Installation and Use Case

I finally got the hitch installed and it took about 7 hours to complete.

A couple of points:
1. Make sure you have all 6 bolts started that connect to the hitch through the chassis before putting the car back together - I wasted an hour trying to start a bolt before I gave up and pulled the back bumper off again.
2. Don’t be afraid to pull hard on the bumper side panels to get it off.

For spring break we drove approximately 3k miles with 4 bikes on the hitch and it worked perfectly. The anti wobble bolt installed on the hitch is pure genius. This is a great project and a terrific upgrade for the allroad.

Justin did an excellent job on the hitch, I think it is much better than the OEM.

Thanks Jason

I wanted to provide an update on the hitch I purchased from Justin. It mounted perfectly. All the bolt holes lined up. Job took a little over 3 hours. It can be completed in less time, I just had a hell of a time removing the rear bumper cover. I highly recommend this hitch if your thinking about it.

Great job Justin

you did. I was able to point the guys doing the job in the right direction. The screw behind the bumper cover were the culprit. My only issue came later on when I was wiring my 13 pin to 4 pin adapter. The numbers did not match exactly from the picture to the adapter. I figured it out though.
