Default Wierd Noise

I am hearing a noise which sounds like a muffled clicking/creaking. I can also feel it though my steering wheel.

I hear it and feel it between 0-10 MPH, as well as when I am at a dead stop.

It does not appear to be related to the drive lines, or turning the wheel....any ideas?

Could this be my steering assist acting up (until this morning I thought we had a standard power steering system)?

Default Anyone ever felt a creaking sensation in their steering wheel?

The creaking I hear can actually be felt through the steering wheel. If so please let me know what the cause was...thanks

Default can feel a slight creak/grind in steering wheel when spinning it in parking lots...

a little dirt or grit in the turn signal return doohickey? Not something I'm going to address.

Default Tie Rod

Would your AR make the same sound and feel when you were at a dead stop, and not turning?

Default You get this noise/feeling with no movement at all?

The tie rod was only a problem when moving/turning. Maybe something is loose in the subframe or engine mounts?

Default No Movement

Yes it happens with no movement. I thinks its one of two things..

1) Something electrical in the steering system like some kind of cellinoid or something going out...

2) May have something to do with compressor/ suspension raising and lowering.

Yesterday I only heard for a couple seconds but the other day probably about 10 minutes...Its odd...
