Default Wind noise

I am new to my '05 AR and to Audi's in general. So far it has been pretty impressive, seemingly well built, and generally very quiet...no road noise. I have experienced some wind noise and want to know if anyone else is having this problem, or if it is just me? Between 60 and 80mph it is quite noticeable. It does not seem to be coming through the windows or skylight. Is there any chance it could be from the windshield or firewall? Any ideas would help.

I have kept the shade closed. The noise does not seem to be from the roof or door windows but forward.

If this is the rail can it be easily removed? I spend much time on the highway and would like to get rid of the wind noise.

Default There are two possibilities for wind noise..

Some noise comes from the drivers side pillar to the left of the windshield but it's only slightly audible. A greater cause of noise comes from the OEM Pirelli tires (highly audible). They only get
louder with wear. The roof rails on my cars have never made a peep (01 & 04).
