I'm thinking about adding some tint to my '01 2.7t, light silver, but I am curious about the darkness levels people have chosen. What levels 15%, 20% 35%? Which windows and why?

50% up front, 35% the rest

It's pretty hard to see in the car but easy to see out, even at night. The hint of reflectiveness often takes on the color of the car and looks pretty cool.
Initially I thought having the same % tint on all the windows would look the best.
I still think all 7 windows the same % looks better than just the fronts lighter. For some reason when just the fronts are lighter it looks off balance imho. However when three different shades are used like Mr. Farmer's below I think it looks pretty tactical:

Next time I may get three shades instead of just one....

sorry no pics to show you, but it looks nice on a black allroad
my wife chose it (her car), she wanted darker, but i wanted to be at least close to legal. haven't had any problems with it, it makes the car look great without attrating too much attention and our son loves the fact that he's not blinded by the sun now!

but how well can you see out of it? I'm also looking at tints, but don't want to have to roll down the window at night to see out.

The car came fully tinted when I purchased it 2nd hand, but had to remove the front sides to pass NJ inspection. It still looks much better than no tint at all. I do have a problem seeing behind me when backing up at night. I wish I was able to post some pictures (still computer illiterate!).
