Windshield Replacement - OEM or Aftermarket?

I sustained a major rock hit to my windshield and now I've got spider webs tracking across the glass. My insurance company want's to replace with an aftermarket version of the glass.
Any advice about doing this? I don't see any wires or special connections to worry about. Safelite is the replacement company and they say they use LOF or PPG glass.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Not sure specifically about windshields, but my experience has been that OEM parts in general seem to always be superior in quality...
Good luck.

Has the Audi logo printed in lower driver's side corner. Not sure if that means it's "OEM Replacement" glass. But I do have a complaint about it. There are some very fine bubbles in the glass near the upper area of my field of view. Gives me a headache. Going to get it replaced due to defective glass.
Used Settles Glass in Massachusetts.
And, by the way, the insurance company never had any say in the matter. I took it to the glass company and they took care of everything.

Have read about this extensively as my windshield has had a non-spreading ding in my line-of-sight for over a year.
After careful research (and some luck) I got my insurance company to replace it with a PPG branded windshield which has turned out quite nice. Added another PPG product (Aquapel) and I am good to go. BTW, love Aquapel; beats Rain-X hands down in my opinion.
