....it's like a broken record, but let me know what you think of the following -

It seems like my air compressor has been running more lately, and it is getting louder. The pattern seems to be that when driving / accelerating, the compressor runs and then when I brake to a stop I can hear the click under the dash and it stops. My suspension doesn't sag, although somtimes it will pump up the fronts a bit in the morning, but I haven't seen any blinking green lights or other warnings. I had both front springs replaced around 80K (thanks CPO), I've got 104K now. BTW, this car is awesome and I wouldn't trade it for any other ride (except *maybe* a Cayenne).

Is there anything I can do to prolong the compressor life? Would a specific leak cause the compressor to cycle as I describe?

perhaps between the cylinder and the manifold block or the block.

Thanks Paulroad - where do I even start to troubleshoot? Soapy water?

I would start at the hose/fittings that connect to the storage cylinder and work from there.

Hi

I am facing the same problem as yours. Almost during every acceleration my compressor is working. I already replaced two springs, so the car is not "sinking after the night", but the compressor is working very often.

Have you solved the problem ? I traveling through the forum to find something...
