It will be interesting to see how Porsche compensates for the extra weight if/when they roll out an electric Cayenne. It will most likely be heavier than the current e-tron. The Macan is too small to be a family car, but I will definitely consider a Cayenne EV if there is one.

And this is ultimately why I ended up getting a 2022. I had been waiting for a solid EV to hit the market for a loooooooooooong time. I compromised on range so I didn't have to keep waiting and pay more at the same time for something that doesn't factor into my daily driving habits at all. Part of what pushed me to cancel my 2023 order and buy the 2022 is the price difference, but it was also about being sick of chasing rainbows. There will always be a better EV 6-12 months out.

this annoys me too. i just had a fairly new loaner Q5 and brakes were dead silent.
