Wow, that’s pretty significant. Thanks!

The 20s definitely look a little boring, not as flash as the 21s. Let's just say young dudes are not looking at my e-tron like they did when I was running 21" AudiSport wheels.

I've noticed a few things. First of course is that I'm getting 0.2 - 0.3 more miles per kW. Also the smaller wheels are less prone to kerbing (I damaged 2 wheels on curbs in the first 6 months), and tight parking is slightly easier. The ride is definitely quieter but impact harshness is the same. Handling at the edge does not seem as good as with the 21s. Also I noticed the 21s seem much heavier. I would need to look up the specs for proof but they each seemed 10+ lbs heavier than the 20s.

Haha. Classic. Yes, the 21's def look better IMO. Appreciate the info!

The main reason I went with the 21" wheels is that they are forged and not cast wheels. For the 2019 models, the upgrade was a great bargain as 21" forged wheels start around $900 each. My Audi winter set has the 2nd wheel in the photo that is only 8.5" wide.

I was looking for those 8.5Jx19s when I found the standard 5-spoke 20s for sale. I think when it comes to EVs the hard truth is that a narrower wheel is almost always going to maximize economy.

It's great that you can run 19s, 20s, 21s, or 22s on this car with no mods.

Great info all around. What are the drawbacks of going with a thinner width wheel? Other that visual.

I just upgraded mine from 20" to 22" wheels. Running GEOLANDAR X-CV - SIZE: 275/40R22.
it looks great. Get lots if compliments.
But I lost a lot of range. At 100% charge the GOM only says I'll get 189miles.
Before on 100% charge the GOM would be anywhere from 224 to 234miles.
I'm rarely at above 2.1 mi/kWh. Before I'd get to 2.5+ mi/kWh.
I'd say I lost about 10 to 12% range going grom 20" to 22".
I charge to 100% vs 80%/90% now.

I didn't notice any change in ride quality. And i live in the Bay Area with bad roads everywhere.
if it didn't looks so good, I'd probably go back down to my 20" rims.

This mirrors my experience. The range loss is more than one might think, but you can't beat the looks of 21s or 22s. And they don't hurt the ride, either.
