The oil change warning absolutely still appears in the 2019 e-tron at least. Every year I have to deal with the "oil change and inspection" nag alert, which requires going to the dealer to have them reset it (which also means them doing their yearly/10k maintenance, which includes changing the fragrance cansiters and cabin air filter, checking the battery coolant, etc.) So far I have never been charged by my dealership for this, but I worry that after some period of time (5 years?) the dealership will no longer offer these yearly inspections for free and I'll be stuck with the alert permanently on.

I've been resetting the inspection reminders with an Ancel VD500. They're around $50 on Amazon and does the basics for VAG cars, which was all I cared about.

Remember to open the bonnet which disables the firewall on the car. Then you can perform the reset. The Ancel AD500 definitely works, I have a 2019 Audi A8 and once i had figured out the opening the bonnet thing it worked immediately.

These devices are less than £40 on ebay.

I bought a VD500 to reset the inspection due notice on my 2022 e-tron 55 SUV, but it didn't work with the software version that was installed on the device:
Amazon Amazon

Software: V10.10
Hardware: V1.1
Library: V3.70

Supposedly free lifetime software updates are offered with this model, but it's difficult to find the download. So I wrote to Ancel's customer service and they directed me to this page:
https://www.anceltech.com/product/de...46504295575552

Steps to update software:
  1. Download ZIP folder from website Downloads section (all versions contain English - the file names refer to the second language that's offered with each download).
  2. Open ZIP folder and run “Update” file
  3. Extract files
  4. Connect PC to the device via USB cable
  5. Run the “Update” file in the new extracted files folder and follow prompts
New version:
Software: V10.20
Hardware: V1.1
Library: V3.70

Steps to clear Inspection Due notice in vehicle:
  1. Open hood to disable firewall
  2. Connect device to OBDII port in driver's footwell
  3. Turn on ignition
  4. Select "V/A Diagnosis"
  5. Select "Service Reset"
  6. Are you sure? Yes
  7. Select "Inspection Service"
  8. Choose appropriate option:
    1. 30,000 km / 730 days
    2. 60,000 km / 1095 days
It only gives these two service reminder options, which is fine with me because I don't need the reminders.
