E-Tron Battery Degradation? 1 month old vehicle!

I purchased a '21 E-tron in March. Charging is to 80% and recharge when it gets much below 60% about a month ago I noticed the range (at 80%) fall from about 190 miles to 145 miles. After reading this forum for a while I felt it was probably just a calibration issue. Yesterday I drove about 60 miles...the battery level dropped from 80% to 48% during this trip. When I put it on the level two charger it originally estimated 3.5 hours to recharge to 80% which seemed about right. As it charged I noticed the time to finish kept creeping up. The car took only 17.5kW for 32% of the battery and the range increased to 144 miles. I broke out the OBD11 and ran fault checks and got a "Hybrid Battery Pack Voltage Variation Exceeded Limit", the fault would not clear. Also noticed the power meter last lit number is 75% and looks like the ring goes to only 85%. Putting the car in "S" mode does not extend the power band any further than ~85% previously noted. Service department is supposed to call Monday to try to schedule an appointment as they are booked. Based on the information on this forum I'm thinking either that battery controller or a bank of battery cells has gone bad. Any thoughts?

I feel for people who just want to drive the car and know that it is operating correctly. People generally don’t want to have to think about what the temperature is outside, or if there’s a tail wind, etc.
Not that any of the answers are wrong - the range meter is just an estimate and some sections of trips take more energy than others. It just seems to be a common point of confusion.
I’ve long wanted a percent meter on the gauge for the batter in-car. There is a gauge but doesn’t show the value, just a bar. It does show in the app but it’s not like I’m going to check that while driving. I think that would be helpful, users would see they have a certain percent left and that’s really the “tank” level, regardless of range meter fluctuations.
FWIW, my car usually shows ~160 miles at 80% charge and I use 38-42kwh/100miles. Sounds about like everyone else. However, I took an 800 mile trip a month ago and not driven much since, so recently it has been showing ~190 miles at 80%. On the trip (and over the summer in general) I was getting 33-38kwh/100 miles.
