Heated steering wheel

Heated steering wheel
I'm considering a '21 e-Tron. Past articles on the changes to the '21s say a heated steering wheel is standard and the feature list provided by the dealer shows it included (but not on the Sportback.) Photos from the owner's manual show the on/off button at the bottom of the climate screen but dealer photos don't show it. Recent news articles mention a new steering wheel (starting in November) with touch sensing related to adaptive cruise assist, so I'm thinking that a heated steering wheel will come with the new wheel. Does anyone have a heated steering wheel in a '21 or know anything about if/when one is coming?

On the Build Guide, heated wheel is mentioned as standard on the E-Tron, but not mentioned on the Sportback.

I have a 2021 eTron (UK) and it doesn't come with a heated steering wheel as standard. It's only available as part of the £5k leather upgrade pack. I didn't realise this when I bought it thinking that it was standard and then found out 1 week before delivery and called the dealer to confirm and express my surprise. A heated steering wheel is a really good idea in an electric car as you can run the climate control at a lower temperature if there is just you in the car as with a heated seat and steering wheel you feel warm. My wife's £10k Kia Picanto has it and my previous Tesla had one. The eTron is a fantastic car and the interior is way better than the Tesla but to me is one of a handfull of "wtf" moments in my ownership journey so far!
I'm currently looking at options to retrofit one.

The heated steering wheel fitted as standard on North American models. One would think it would be either standard or a imple add-on option elsewhere.
Audi is really mean with the options in some markets. I was shocked to learn rear seat cupholders are an extra cost item in some places. That's just ridiculous.

Yes, my 2021 Premium (base) model e-tron in the USA has the heated steering wheel. Came as standard. Not many paid options on my e-tron, but certainly glad the heated wheel came standard.

My 2019 Edition One had the “4-spoke” steering wheel, but no heating. My 2022 Chronos has the “3-spoke” wheel with heating. So for a while, I thought the heating might be tied to the type of steering wheel, 4-spoke vs. 3-spoke. But yeamac’s car has the 4-spoke (I think) and it has heat. So while this post doesn’t clear up the question of “do 2019 steering wheels have the heating element” … only that both the 3-spoke and 4-spoke wheels can have heating elements. Stated another way, retrofitting the feature of heated steering wheel MAY require a new steering wheel, in addition to some wiring modifications to activate work.
