Leaking again today. Can't wait to get my garage back. Service is looking at it now. Service also recommended never buying a model with a sunroof. Interesting.
When I bought I don't believe I knew about this issue, but I still specifically looked for one without a sunroof. Seems like almost every car now days has either a sunroof, a panoramic glass roof, or both. I have never enjoyed a sunroof and have only rarely opened mine in this car. i would never pick a car with one over an equal car without.
Recently before washing my car I did open it up and very carefully..... with crossed fingers and toes and clinched teeth...I carefully poured some water in the channel. It readily poured out at the front wheels. Tried to get some to come out of the rear drains but could only get a few drips. Never could really see where it was coming from. Couldn't tell if there was a restriction, or if the slope directs the majority of the water to the front. It looked like it was naturally flowing forward with the car basically level. I was just thankful to not detect any inside!
dit: the previous repair he referred to is to apply TSB 2056944/8.[/QUOTE]
Hi dear All!
Does anyone have
TSB 2056944/8? I live in Ukraine and have 2019 Etron from the States, and I can`t find that Service Bulletin.
Thanks in advance
Just found this thread. My 2019 already had this leak issue. Service "fixed" the issue which they claimed was caused because the rain filters became clogged with too much debris & leaves. However, the issue has no reoccurred only a month or two later so I suspect there must be a different cause. Headed back to the shop...

i recommend telling them about the TSB I posted just above yours. So far my cabin has been dry despite these torrential downpours on the west coast CA since the fix. Good luck!
Unfortunately mine just started leaking as well. It has been pouring non stop since Friday here in socal; never been an issue during rain until this am.. bringing into service Monday
I had the headliner leak as well a month ago. They changed all the drains and gaskets and seals. There was some black sludge in there. They wondered if I parked under some specific tree? Crazy.
Anyway, after the 6 leaks in my trunk and now this… I sold my car to Carmax, which was extremely painless. Done. Good luck guys.
how much rain or how many hours of rain did it take before you noticed the headliner leaking? we had a ton of rain recently and I kept looking for dampness but never saw any. usually when it rains a lot I leave the etron outside to keep the garage floor from getting multiple puddles of water from repeated parking inside during rainy days.
I don’t remember a particularly heavy rain actually. Never had a problem in the front of the car for 3.5 years. One day I got in and noticed the water dripping onto the gear shift. I do park outdoors.
