I'm glad I didn't buy an extended warranty. The motor coverage is the only thing I would want covered.

Only reason I bought an extended warranty was because of the motor issues. Oh well, warranty companies will be making out like bandits on us, the two most expenses points of failure (battery and motor) are now mostly covered by Audi. But as someone above mentioned, having a good warranty on the battery and the motor will at least preserve a bit of the resale value.

So where does this leave folks who paid out of pocket for a motor replacement?

If I remember correctly, the Pure Protection plan can be canceled for prorated reimbursement. If the motor coverage is extended, I’m contemplating canceling mine.

I have tried calling them for the last few days … unsuccessfully. It looks like getting someone from Audi on the phone is more difficult than reaching airline staff during the crowdstrike apocalypse.

That is addressed on page two of the letter and a reimbursement request form is included.

I got the above letter yesterday from AOA so it is real. I have a 2019 OG e-tron SUV (original sold 10/2020 so still have couple months of OEM warranty). I do have extended warranty when I bought it couple years ago till 2028 and 100K miles.

Wonder if they will extend it to Model Year 2024?
