Default ED ordering

Hi, I am newbie on ED, I am ready to buy my A5, that is my first Audi. So I got few questions I want to ask . First do I have to pay destination charge? And there is 5% discount if you do ED pick up, is discount apply to U.S MSRP? I also read that MSRP excludes taxes, title/documentary fees, registration, tags, Audi Dealer prep, labor and installation charges, insurance, optional equipment and accessories, certificate of compliance and non-compliance fees, and finance charges. So I am wondering if it is going to be more expansive then what we pay in the state.

HI, Joeyni and welcome to ED Forum!
1. Yes - you have to pay destination charges, as if you buy your car from lot.
2. Yes, 5% of US MSRP. If you able to negotiate with your SP praise below MSRP and then apply 5% - then you in good shape.
3. Ween you buy your car from the lot - you pay this anyway. - In your case you will pay 5% less. Some time dealer do not waist his time - so they offer you price from lot below ED price. You have to decide for your self.
European Deliver is not about saving money - it's about experience. Get your car in
Audi Forum and drive your A5 at speed that you will never drive (legally) in US.Nürburgringor or Stelvio Pass, Swiss Alps or Black Fores, Italy or France - all accesable by you on your new car.
Worce part - waiting for your car after drop off.

One of the dealers in Dallas sent me this by email..

"
This is how we structure EU Delivery
MSRP – Destination charge
$ 46395- $825 = $ 45570 - %5 discount for EU delivery = $ 43292
That is your selling price for the car. $ 43292

Well, I talk to the local dealer, they say I have pay destination charge, maybe I should buy it from the dealer you talk about, or I need something on the paper that say I don't have to pay for it since I am doing ED. What should I do?
