How to mount US license plate over European plate on rear?

I wanted to hear how you went about doing it. I'm not sure if you used double-sided tape, drilled into the Euro plate, or found some Euro plate adapter frame to mount the U.S. one onto.

I just use the same hole, we don't get the long plate

A euro plate will not fit on ours, different tailgate cut-out for plates.
