Default Shipping Questions...

Is it possible to have the nice little Audi Pajamas installed before shipping? I'm sure EH Harms is very careful about things, but if it wasn't a potential issue, Audi wouldn't bother wrapping each car in the first place.

My understanding is that when a car is shipped by the factory the suspension is blocked, and a few other things are done to keep the car stable in transit. Does EH Harms do anything like that, or do they just slap it on the boat.

I'm assuming that by paying the right person the right amount of money anything can be accomplished.

Default They are naked by default. I can confirm that.

Not sure about the shipping blocks. Maybe your dealer gan get you a pajama from one of their recent A5/S5 imports. Call Harms and ask if you can put it on when you drop the car off.

In any case, my RS4 was ultimately fine when I picked it up.

Default confirming as well.......no cover at all. Definately have the car washed before drop off though.

Take pictures as well, we had a 3 in. scuff on the grey plastic cladding on the bottom of the drivers door when we picked our Q7 up at the dealer after being shipped.

Default Isn't that Audi's or the dealers responsibility? We inspected

the car with the shipper when we dropped it off for shipping and anything would be marked on his paperwork if there was visible damage. My dealer said the car would be prepped and perfect when I pick it up.

Default He might have been referring to when the dealer receives and preps the

car before you pick it up in the U.S. E.H. Harms doesn't do anything special before they transport it to the ship. I washed my car prior to dropping it off. It rained and the car sat in the shipyard for two additional weeks before they got it on a ship.

Default Thanks Quattrings, that is what I was referring to. I wanted to make sure.......

the car had nothing on it from driving it around Europe in the winter. The longer anything sits on your car the harder it is to get off. We also had a few bird droppings on ours that I wanted to make sure was off so that it would no etch into the paint.
