According to an article we spotted on German Car Blog we should expect news from Audi regarding diesels in the US. Could it be Mercedes Bluetec-derived technology?

http://www.germancarblog.com/2006/11/audi-vw-bluetec-diesels-to-be-offered.html</a

Q7 for sure, but A8, A6, A4, A3 even? i'd be great if they commited to all of them. I know there is crash testing involved with each engine transmission configuration, but DSG is the logical choice for fuel economy which is only offered in the A3 at the moment. Maybe there will be a second announcement of a DSG for Longitudinally mounted engines, which would be cool!

Actually, he claimed he worked for Audi, and that by 2010 All Audi's will be diesel, as in no gasoline engine. Chances are he mistook "will be available in diesel" to mean "diesel only, no gasoline".

https://forums.audiworld.com/a3/msgs/72608.phtml</a
