Performance Preview: Exclusive Look at the B8 S4

Weakened internals? The 2.7 T uses a Diesel-sourced bottom end good for 550 hp.
Sure there has been some bad luck with the dual K03 cooling in the B5/C5, but I am sure they can figure out how to do it right. Hell, BMW is trying to mass produce their own 3.0 L biturbo 6 in three different cars.

Superchargers are not a serious way to build a forced-induction motor
Not gonna happen. Look who uses them: Jaguar, Land Rover, and Ford...and every fly-by-night tuner. M-B dumped them only after a few years once they figured out how to build a real engine (6.2).

Any new information? Post links
Can't wait and this time I'm doing an Avant. The S5 would have been my first choice, but with the newborn it is no longer practical.
Time to get my 100k of Audi Visa points redeemed for cash to apply to the pre-order status.

Will we ever see an S4 TDI?
With all the work they have done on their race cars with TDI engines, it would be great to see a sports car featuring TDI. The added torque should add more off the line fun, with less of a sting when you visit the pump.

Numbers don't tell the whole story, put the magazines down and actually drive both cars.
The Audi is a better road car than the current (or formerly current) M3. Plus keep in mind that a 335i costs almost 50k as well. Dream on if you think you'll get a new one for less than 45-46k. Sure some people may prefer an M3 on the track, but the S4 sounds better, has more torque, has a better interior, and handles just as well below 10/10th's. Some reviews actually prefer it over the M3. You have to drive the M3 like you're mad at it to get the most out of it, which gets old after a while. Plus show me the data where the 335i has killed the S4 resale, because I don't actually see it in the numbers yet.
