Volkswagen might make Audi cars at its main Wolfsburg plant
To fill up unused capacity at its Wolfsburg plant, VW is considering helping Audi build the A3 there.
Unlike the A4 and A6, which are platforms exclusive to Audi and built at the premium brand's own factories, the A3 shares most of its mechanicals with the VW GTI. So building it at a VW plant has logic behind it.
