Default 200k miles and she running but stumbling..

So I have had some ups and down with my 93 S4. I had it running great for a month. Did Samco hoses, wgfv, and all sorts of stuff and she was running great for a while. However, of late problems arise again.

Boost is all over the place, full throttle is just a joke, and once I get to 3000 plus RPM's all hell breaks loose.

O2 sensor is new.

I have a MAF on the way but have a few other things on my mind.

1) TPS
2) Plugged Cats
3) Cam Position sensor
4) Bad turbo.

Im gonna start with MAF, then TPS, then cut out the cats. Any insight is always appreciated. I STFA frequently, but always like to ask.

I do love the car.

Default e.) None of the above.

Most likely problem is either boost leak or coil pack.

TPS failures are very rare.
Plugged cats are rare.
CPS would throw a code.
Bad unlikely - this is not an A4.

Default I/we could probably help a bit more if you could provide more detail.

Not much to go on here. Does it skip under boost? Hesistate? Stall? Etc...

Default Did you even read Toms post?

He said coil or boost leak. Check your Samco installation. They don't fit as well as the factory hoses and you probably have a boost leak.

Default Oops yea I did see that, regarding boost leaks and coils.

I removed and have reset the Samco hoses multiple times. Checked crossover pipe. And I use the Breeze constant torque clamps for lines under boost pressure.

I have the 034 AAN coil conversion and I run the R series 1.8T coils. 4 of the 5 are brand new and the symtoms do not feel like a bad coil.

I have pulled and cleaned plugs, put back in and torqued to spec. I have replaced WGFV, and appropriate lines that feed into it.

I have fuel injectors and fuel pressure tested and was told it checked out fine.

The symptoms are different then when I was wrestling with boost leaks. At least boost would stay somewhat consistent then I would see the fuel cut. Current symptoms are just so inconsistent. You can here the turbo spool it will climb to like 15 on gauge, then just down to 10 psi and go back and forth, turbo spools then stops, then spools then stops, car just kind of dies. Sometimes you can kind of here a gurgle in the exhaust like it is misfiring or backing up.

If I give it 100% throttle it will climb with boost to 3000 rpm then start the jumping around and these sudden boost surges.

Almost feels like the car is cutting fuel or pulling timing back in a big way.

Default I'd pressure test the intake track for boost leaks.

Checking hoses is only half the job.

Try different plugs too.
