Default In my yute, I did AutoXing with a Jetta 1 built to GLi stds. In order to keep the front tires from

rolling under, (205/60/13 btw), I needed to put about 44 psi in them. The rears needed some help to prevent side wall roll, but not as much, so their pressure was set at 36 psi. By playing withthe tire pressure, e.g. less in the rear, I could induce a bit of oversteer (helped on some courses).

On the UrS, I just run 32 psi all round. (Normal driving)

I currently have 30 in front and 32 in rear. lil less air = more tread to road contact?

Less air = tire is harder to push and the outside corners wear faster.

Default The front tires support more weight

For the tires to keep an optimal footprint on the road the fronts would need more pressure to support the additional weight. Adding pressure to the fronts car will reduce understeer (to a point).

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=58

Default in my 200tqa and C5 I used to always run +4-6 over recommendation in the front

and rear close to stock (less understeer).
