thx

For the record, I have a 95 or 95.5 Avant (it has open headrests and other things), but it has the LOCKABLE rear diff.

Just make sure that the V8 torsen rear diff is 4.11:1 and you are golden.

I'm a little lost here, but I'll try to wade through:

EDL applies the brake at one wheel to stop wheel spin. The center diff is torsen and the front and rear diffs are open.

If you install an early diff, you can mechanically lock the rear diff. Whether you use the locker or not, EDL is oblivious and functions normally, although it will probably rarely actuate in the rear when the diff is locked.

Step up to torsen in the rear and you don't have to worry about locking or unlocking the diff. As will the stock diff or locker, EDL is just does its thing. Torsen distributes the power rear automagically, and if one wheel has zero traction, EDL is the safety net.

The open diff case and tosen diff case are very similar. It's hard to tell them apart. Internally, they are vastly different.
