ACHTUNG! Daiken / Exedy clutch kits do not work in our cars.
About a year ago I ordered a clutch kit for the S6 from Worldpac. The parts in the box had "Luk" stamped on them. It was about $150.00 compared to the $300.00 for a Sachs clutch. Being the cheap bastard I am I went for it. I finally got around to replacing the clutch this weekend. The clutch pressure plate will bolt up just fine but cover is about 5mm higher than the Sachs or stock clutch that came out, but the spring height is the same. Hence it just barely contacts the transmission case on the drivers side and causes the clutch assembly to bind up on the trans case. The engine will not turn when the trans is bolted up to the engine. The Sachs kit worked great, no more stiff clutch, it works like new. HTH's somebody STFA in the future.

Worldpac Dial just showed the 026. I think thats the last three digits of the kit number.
I was most annoyed. The second time the job went really fast cause I was pissed. I bet we have installed at least 500 Daiken kits at the shop and I don't ever remember having a problem with any. Go figure the first one is on my car, which is actually best. An old mechanics proverb is its better to happen to your own car than a customers.
