Default yes, provided that you flush the system well first

for instance, the audi pink coolant (G12?) reacts with the green stuff and creates a brown sludge..

I run green Napa coolant in my S6 Avant.

Default "flush well" does not mean simply drain old coolant and refill with new

When cold, half the coolant stays in the engine block behind the thermostat. You either have to :
- pull the thermostat and flush system with running water
or
- empty fill with distilled water, get engine really hot, circ for 20 mins, repeat 2 times

Default ^^^ what he said

I should have elaborated on flush well. Personally I always pull the thermostat and flush with a garden hose whenever I perform a flush on my cars.

Default Don't forget to turn your heat on full blast to flush the heater core too.

I think there is a valve that stays closed to the HC if your heater is off.
