Default Anyone make any progress on a D585 bracket?

All required parts should be here by the end of the week, so I'll probably just make something temporary for now. But I'd like a nice clean solution for the long run.

Default That is similar to how I am setting mine up. Going to mount where the origninal POS's are and then

put a little heat shield over all of it. I just need more time to finish.

Strongly suggest moving the coils AWAY from the downpipe, i.e. not at the OE POS location.

Default What I have found is

You can use a 1/4-20/28 threaded rod if you drill/reem out one of the coil brackets hole as the other one is big enough. 1.5-1.625 inch spacers are about right to keep the assembly as short as possible with 1 inch spacers on the end to go to a bracket/strut bar.

What I'm working on now is location with in my engine bay. There is room near the down pipe, turbo, EM but then again there is a lot of heat there too (I have a lower CF guard on my assembly right now) I've also been toying with a mount over the power steering line that are on the driverside that would come across the IM but I havn't made up my mind yet.

When all is said and done I hope to use Brad Cs fabrication skills (llyod used him I think) to make a nice brackets. Currently he is making me some BBK brackets for 911/928 calipers out of SS.
