Default Big Brake Kit Options and ABS?

Ok, I finally hate the brakes on this effing car... I nearly rear end someone every morning on my commute (mainly because people can't drive worth **** and like to dive-cut me and jam on their brakes)

I STFAd but... I won't talk ill of the STFA right now, but I couldn't find what I wanted
So, what different options are available?

Do any of them mess with the ABS?

If anything, I'd like a more solid pedal feel.

TIA

ABS does not work off of the caliper or rotor assy so you are good to go on that front

Any of the BBK options will give a more solid pedal feel than the stock single piston G60 calipers. I have 928GTS calipers (big black same as big red 993tt calipers) and find that the fixed 4-piston calipers give much better brake feel and allow for better modulation because the feel is so much better than the sliding single piston G60's. The fixed calipers combined with braided brake lines also give a much firmer pedal when properly bled. A firmer pedal is much more confidence inspiring when you stand on the binders.

Along with the improved feel, fade resistance will be much better with larger rotors and large aluminum calipers.

i love my boxster calipers, combined with stoptech braided lines, Avalon brackets, Zimmerman x-drilled rotors, and OEM Brembo pads

BTW G60 calipers are dual piston not single

Porsche rotors won't fit cause of the 5x130mm bolt pattern.

Don't get to down on the G60s. With good rotors, pads, and brake fluid they do stop the UrS cars well. Some of it could be body movement to as how much dive before you actually feel like you are stopping can be an influencing factor.

I did piece together my own BBK, 05-06 A6 321 rotors, 911TT calipers, and had some SS brackets made. I think I'm into it for around 500 but normal porsche BBKs are just over a 1000 if you go A8 rotors, 928 calipers and RS2 brackets.

IMO the porsche standard boxer setup is probablty the best bang for the buck out there now.

You need Porsche Boxster 986 (non-s) calipers. These can be the stock Porsche calipers, or StopTech makes some as well.

Rotors from an Audi D2 A8, 312x25.

Brackets: I believe the Avalon brackets are sold out (maybe a set or two left), though, 034 carries their brand as well.

Lines? I'm not sure.

There was a post, maybe a month ago, that had everything you needed in one pict.

This setup will fit under the stock Fuchs. Once you get bigger than the 986 setup, you will need wheel spacers, or larger wheels.
