Default Bira 3

I have Boxster S calipers but have not joined Bira. What else do I need? If Bira is slow are there alternatives? Thanks. Mark near Chicago

You'll need brackets to mount them. This is why avoided the Bira route. ECS's kit was easy.

Default BIRA lists everything you need with part numbers and recomended sources.

All you have to do is join. My Girlfriend's S6 is running system3, works great.

Default Takes forever to get the parts you want.

They only do them in batches, once every six months, if you're lucky.

Brew-your-own is a pain, but takes less time.

ECS has a nice kit. Quick and easy, a little more expensive than brew-your-own.

Sell your calipers and go ECS.

Default According to ECS web-site all they support is the 993TT calipers

I'd prefer the mono-block 996 brakes. BTW I have a 97 Boxster bought new and I like the Brembos.

Default Brembo's are fine, I have them myself....just saying that w/ ECS it's one stop shopping.

Default I doubt you'd ever...

...feel the slightest difference between the two.

After getting my rotors from Apikol, I am impressed with the size of the A8 D2 rotors. And the calipers look pretty darn good over them.

I've been assembling parts and pieces of this BBK for four months, and now that I've got all the stuff, I need to get busy.

Maybe it'll all be together in time for Burien. Maybe.
