Default Boost pressure 2.2 AAN motor

My first post here. What should the max boost be? Reading on the instrument mfc. I have started working on a car and the wastegate has a pipe missing? Also vag-com shows a faulty wastegate solenoid.
Did any of these cars perhaps not have the solenoid?

Default If your car is stock, max boost pressure is 2.2 Bar absolute (17.2 psi relative). You are not missin

g a "pipe" on the wastegate cap. All the cars have that nipple on the cap with nothing attached. All the cars came with the wastegate frequency valve (WGFV) or as you call it "solenoid" (which it is). Yours could be unplugged or a wire broken. Its physically attached to the hose from the Mass Air Flow sensor to the cold side turbo inlet.

You should check out the Forum Digest (FAQ) linked in the mast head (and below in my signature). In the meantime, you should read this:

Info on the N75 WGFV

Default I actually just got heated when i thought of it also, i finally wrote a complaint letter:

My complaint letter to smog station 1

"I am utterly disappointed with your level of service.

EVERY piece of information I have gathered online as well as from official Audi references such as ETKA and Bentley Publisher's auto repair manual has indicated that the wastegate valve that points to the firewall on the AAN Engine from the 92 Audi S4 DOES NOT HAVE A HOSE CONNECTED TO IT...PERIOD. I have seen at least 10 engines of this same engine code and NONE have a hose attached to the wastegate.

I was told that Moose was doing research and have not heard back from anyone at Smog Station 1. The Miramar Audi dealership is less than 1 mile from your smog station and you have not taken it upon yourselves to gather any further information on my engine, and seem content with failing me 3 times costing me over $110 then telling me on my 4th appearance that you cannot smog me based on the fact that YOU THINK the hose is missing. WHERE IS YOUR PROOF???? The fact is, you have NONE!

I am referencing the following invoices:
11/07/08 - Invoice 26280 $36.95
11/09/08 - Invoice 26300 $36.95
11/21/08 - Invoice 26395 $36.95

The technician that did the visual inspection on my vehicle was Sean Kennedy. According to his reports I PASSED visual all THREE TIMES.

The 4th attempt, you stated you could not pass or fail my car based on the idea that the wastegate valve was missing a hose. The owner of the establishment as well as Moose then admitted that they do not have the references to smog my car. Then why the hell did you fail me 3 times and take my money?

My argument is that if your smog station did not have any information on my vehicle to begin with, you should have turned me down from the very start. Plain and simple!
Instead you lead me to believe that I was taking my vehicle to a smog station that had the necessary references to pass my vehicle, and later admitted that you do NOT.

I am demanding a full refund of $110.85

I am prepared to submit a complaint letter to the B.A.R. online at smogcheck.ca.gov as well as file a complaint with the BBB.

I do not see it as fair practice to work on and charge customers for vehicles that you obviously don't have any information on. Your smog process lacks consistency and I don't feel I should have to pay for the mistake that SMOG STATION 1 made. Have some accountability for your actions, will you?

The ball is in your court, my contact info is below."

Default ROTFL! Moose, WTF??? That's your problem right there.

Trying to argue logic with a guy named Moose, LOL!

That sucks. I hope you got your money back. You should just move to MI. The job market totally sucks and the local economy is in the toilet, but no inspections or smog tests of any kind. WOOHOO!
