There is not enough R12 left - anywhere - to make a fig's worth of difference anyway - anyhow.

It's over. R12 (and the aerosol can counterparts) are no longer a factor to anything.

It's a good thing it's gone. Again - no argument here.

...a Nobel prize in chemistry went to a Swede who worked out the reaction kinetics of CFCs and ozone. Anyone who says "it's over" doesn't know the science, or is buying a load from someone who has a vested interest in the outcome.

The research is dull, boring and above my head. I even have a degree in chemistry, so that means the research is pretty damn boring.

So, actually, I can show data the other way. And why R12 and volcano emissions aren't anything near the same. But the conversation would be dead boring, and the outcome would be unpleasant for those who don't understand the current research. BTDT, and cars are a damn sight more fun to discuss.

Hey, instead, we could talk about how higher octane gas burns faster...
