Really not too bad when you think about it...
I mean a base model 5 series will cost you more than that today. For a (then) top of the line Audi.. I think not a bad deal.
The E34 M5 was the next best thing, and those were WAY more expensive, if I recall.
The PROBLEM with Audi was these cars didn't lease well as Audi had such low residuals in those years, and so a lot of people found other alternatives.

Maybe we can start over....
and fire up a new thread, all those that have their window stickers can do a post, with theirs and we can add it to the archive/FAQ.
I see some benefit behind it for knowing what was out there and of course historical preservation of such a fine automobile.
