Centerforce clutch and re-surfaced flywheel pictures...

Resurfacing dual mass flywheels is not as common as you may think.
Try googling it and see if you can find a place that does it. Somehow the machinist would have to lock the flywheel together before they ground it or turned it on a lathe.

Dave do you know how they do it? Don't they have to lock the two halves together?
I am pleased that you guys have been able to get them done. I am going to look for a local resource. I like to resurface all flywheels on the clutches we do at the shop. Reduces comebacks ya know. Everytime we don't resurface one the b--ch chatters. Most of our flywheels are on an exchange basis now which really saves tying up the rack. But every so often you get the odd one.

FYI - We've used Alec's Automotive @ the shop, never any problems & very decent prices

No. Sorry, I don't know. Otto is the local VW and Porsche tranny guru so....
when he said he knew a shop that could resurface the dual mass flywheel (that I had spun the clutch against), I didn't ask questions. I just assumed that they knew what they are doing (which was probably correct).
I can ask Otto if skollie doesn't.
