Heh, we should consider ourselves lucky. Frequency is NOTHING compared to the B5 S4 forum.

Default There is no "best". Its all a matter of opinion.Linear vs. non-linear, etc. Some of the options...

include:

Lehmann - linear
Wetterauer - linear
MTM - not as linear, some say non-linear
MTM+1 (3bar) - non-linear (in my experience)
Intended Accelertion Stage 3 - linear (in my experience)
Intended Acceleration Stage 3+ (3bar) - no personal experience
Pastore 1+ - MTM+1 clone - non-linear in my experience
ShadeTree (Steve Eiche)
Mihnea Cotet - lots of people have and like his software (can be customized)
TAP - probably was Lehmann code

There may be more.

Default Linearity...

I have had the Lehmann chipset and MTM 1+. MTM 1+ with the stock wastegate preload is definitely non-linear, almost to a fault, but screwing the wastegate spring down makes a huge difference. It is seemingly as linear as the Lehmann (modulo the effects of getting used to the non-linear stock wastegate setting for 6 months), but definitely more powerful.

I agree... I run Pastore (mtm clone) and it is very smooth and linear with the wastegate done right.

Default If I am getting studdering at full throttle, is my wastegate too tight or too loose?

I have the IA III+
