But, I'm not convinced that I just didn't get a bad batch of "Bremi" coils.

Default My coil pack thoughts...

1.8T coilpacks & overheating....

With the aluminum cap on top of the head removed, the coils are mounted exactly the same as on the 1.8T. The coils probably get as hot on the AAN as they would on an AEB, plus many 1.8T people are still running with their insulated plastic cover...

1.8T coil conversion vs. waste spark DSI hi output coils... The high output stuff is double the price but 1.8T + 8x spare coils = breakeven....

I dunno, I haven't decided which route to go yet but my OE coils aren't getting any younger. I'd like to see a coil kit using the future V10 coilpacks...

Default I am looking at the V10 as well. I think that the ...

coil packs will be the same as the 1.8t or current V8 BUT I really like the connector system, i.e. the orange/red "tube" with five legs. I was just thinking about that this morning.

Default for $340 you can buy the high output DIS coils from Javad and the rest of the wiring is cheap

since you dont have to spend $50 on 1.8t coils.

What about the Volkswagen 2.5 inline-5 in the new Jetta/Golf?

In both cases, I don't know if the bore centers are the same as our inline 5 AAN's.
