Thanks for the feedback. It is nice to see that this forum responds with the same enthusiasm as the members of the 200 forum. The car is the one at Stoddard and according to the sales manager it is in extraordinary condition. Below is the description
This 1995 S6 Avant Quattro may be the cleanest car with 136,000 miles that I have ever seen. ONLY ONE OWNER!!! This S6 Avant was traded in on another Audi from one of our very frequent customer, giving us the confidence that any buyer might need to purchase a car with such high mileage.
It has been partially restored by Stoddard Imported Cars at about 133,000 miles. The previous owner cared and loved his cars and liked to keep them for the long haul, thats why he left it to the professionals at Stoddard Imported Cars to do the dirty work and extend the life of this beauty! Most people are surprised about what great shape this car is in for 136,000 miles not to mention there are no signs of rust!
Just some of the restoration done to this vehicle are as follows:
$2,000 in paint work,
and $6,000 in mechanical work!
-New ignition switch
-New Oil Pressure Switch
-New Dash Lights
-Newer timing belt
-Newer tires
-New brake discs
-New Starter
-Seats have been repaired and refinished
-Newer brake cables, and gas pedal.
and more!
ALL SERVICE IS UP TO DATE!!
I will call and grill the sales guy further. I am starting to get very anxious!

I recently bought a silver avant with 109K for $14.5K. Original owner. Excellent condition. All records. Mine had a few mods (RS2 manifold, Big brakes, MTM chip, Euro HIDs, Koni/Eibachs), which drove the price up a bit.
Nice avants still command a premium price ($11-$15K). It also helps if they aren't green

I'm not assuming anything. I have been researching used Audi's for five months, specifically researching S4/S6's for two months.
So actually, I'm pretty in tune with exactly what market value is for these cars in my area.

I just purchased my Avant for 11.8k with 85k on it and considered myself very lucky to have been the first one in line for it, i have been looking for three years. I stayed in touch with the dealer for a couple weeks after the deal and he said that he had never had so many calls on a car. At one point before I took delivery he asked me if I wanted to sell it and make some money because there was another buyer that wanted to pay 14k for it.

I don't think anyone is really "in-tune" with values for these cars unless they are actively buying and/or selling them on a regular basis. Asking price is one thing, but actual sale price is often much different. Also, each persons definition of condition varies widely. One persons excellent condition may be in relation to new while another persons may be in relation to mileage or age. Even if you just bought a similar car your sample size is one to base your opinion on.
When I bought my wife's A4 the dealer said it had small scratches on a couple of the wheels. When I went to pick it up all 5 wheels were scratched worse than anything I'd ever seen. I made them give me a refund for $300 to get the wheels refinished.
