coolant leak above transmission

Default coolant leak above transmission

i thought i was leaking transmission fluid out of the fill plug, but i got under the car and its coolant. I cant really see where its coming from but do u guys have any ideas? I think that its probably coming from the heater core, how would i check this?

Default I bet it's that tee connection that houses a sensor.

They tend to crack because of the heat in that area. It's right behind the head/firewall area above the transmission.

Default Like Mike says, the climate control coolant temp sensor T - looks like this

only not broken.

PNs: 4A0819497 Tee fitting,
Temp sensor = 025 906 041A Blue, two-pin
N90316802 O-ring for sensor in T

Default also take the cowel cover off and look and the connections to the heater core.

or just wash your car and see if you get some transient coolant leaking out from the drains.

Default It was put in the shop at closing on Fri

so, don't know yet. Try and pull on the hoses on the back of the engine, then check under the cowl below the windshield.

will do Kelly, i didnt see anything a few months ago when i cleaned them but i will check again.

Whats the best way to get at it, ill SFTA but is it "easy"?
