Default D585 Yukon Coil Bracket Trial No.1 (rapid prototyping)

Old school. Foam board:

Detail:

Needs some work, spacing needs to be a bit wider to avoid coil bracket conflicts. Top of bracket would be clamped to strut stress bar (somehow without holes in the bar).

Default Why reinvent the wheel?

Why not make a bracket like 034's?

I know the mounting points are staggered. Wouldn't that just make them sit on the mount tubes at an angle?

034 Coil Bracket

Default Coils are different. Holes are staggered. I want it to be my square wheel.

Default How about

6 u-bolts with mounting plate. Just need to account for the weight hanging off the bar (hence I suggest 6 located in parrellel with the mounting arms for the coils)

Something like Mcmaster P/N 8896T105

I think drilling and tapping 1/4" aluminum plate will work fine.

Default Similiar to my plan but

I was thinking of mounting it on the firewall with the spark plug cable pointing up.

Could work, as long as you have a stand-off to get clearance for the coils.
