DASHPOT - is this bad?

Looks like it *might* fail to function as required. It should just gently return the throttle plate
to the idle position. If it is somehow jamming or allowing the throttle to close too quickly, this could be your issue.

THX. let me know. i ended up...
ordering a new Dashpot from the stealer and had my throttle serviced at 034. The potentiometer is expensive... so i didn't order it just yet.

Yep. Looks like you adjust the dashpot so the throttle just closes. ("Click")
The "nut" I was thinking about was the throttle cable adjustment. You want to make sure that WOT is indeed WOT and not 97% WOT.
