Default Dave or someone...Coolant Temp gauge is not moving, But the heater

is working. I also let the car idle for about 10 minutes while monitor code 51 on the HVAC display. The display temp rose from 67 to 78 degrees before shutting down the vehicle. MFTS?

Default You should be seeing high 80 degree temperatures on the CCU and gauge.

Your T-stat is stuck open, keeping the coolant flowing through your radiator which is why you're probably seeing even lower temps than you posted while you're driving on the freeway, etc.

MFTS only controls the signal to you temp gauge. If your coolant temp is actually low, it will show on the CCU (which it did). So MFTS is A-OK.

Cheers,

Where was the temp gauge needle? At the bottom? If so, MFTS. If not, T-stat stuck open.

It was on the bottom. From what I could tell, it did not move.
