Driveshaft shutter/vibration
Need help - I have a 1995 S6 with 115K miles - great paint and performance. My son and I just R&I the clutch - to say the least a big job not like doing this on a chev. Put in a 2 stage clutch to handle the upgrades that I have in this car. Prior to dropping the trans, the car drove very smooth - no vibration or shuttering; after putting the trans back in the car - I replaced both the front right and left axles with new CVs and repacked the front and rear CV on the driveshaft. The clutch works good -tight and no slip, however, after engaging, in low gear 2K RPM,thecar shutters and shakes and then is very smooth on excelleration any speed. The CVs on the axles were in good shape and the center rubber bearing was not ripped. Does anyone know what is going on?

Sounds like you *might* not have paid enough attention to the alignment of the main driveshaft when you re-installed it. Follow this link for more info:

Quick question about the center support bearing:
Have you seen the 034 motorsport "Large Chasis" C4 $100 bearing? the brakcet doesn't look quite right. Does anyone know if it's a direct swap?
I STFA and got mixed feelings.
