That little turbo sure does spool up quick and the motor's power band is just awesome. Just a shame about the torque steer/FWD. I found the quality of the interior to be somewhat shotty too, compared to that of a URS. The four door hatchback is awesome too, IMHO, just ugly.

it grows on you. What year did you drive because hers has very little torque steer. They've come a long way and now you can get the car in a AWD turbo @ 280 hp for just over 42k. Not too bad.

Just don't. They aren't what they were. GM has somehow sterilized those cars.

He does drive a 99 9-5 that has been converted to the "Aero" package with 250 HP. One of the benefits of working for that dealership is they recycle Saabs and keep a store room of used parts. Kind of cool that they will offer customers new or used parts depending on the customer budget and/or age of the car. It's also good for the people that work there are my bro in law paid 1500 for the car and has about 500 into it which including upgrading to the aero stuff and having 3 sets of rims.
He says the mechanical aspect of the car are very good but the electrical stuff is shotty and expensive. Everything is modules and all of them are 400 plus each. But motors and transmissions will go 200K if cared for.

Which my brother inlaw says they are starting to get a lot of head gasket replacements. LOL Own a subie (my wife does) and be prepared to do head gaskets every 70-100K! LOL
