loose to the point that w/ boost they might seal up some due to the barbs on the fittings but w/ vacuum might pull in air...
just wiggle them around w/ your fingers and check. if they are stock i'd say they are crap.

CRC multi purpose Silicone lubricant, put back in the car and it started. Of course this doesn't say much because it always started before. The real test will be when I drive it for a while and it doesn't die on me. The hoses seem OK.
