Default Dumb question - Is the front transaxle and transmission connected internally?

It looks to be 2 separate pieces. So If I drain and fill it here, it includes the transmission, right?

Yes and no. I think you have to fill both parts separately IIRC.

I hope not. I drained and filled using only the plugs show in the picture.

you're fine, they're internally connected. thats why you use the same fluid for the front diff

Default Yeah, so I figured. The correct amount of fluid came out and went in.

It does make me wonder why there are two drain plugs. But whatever. New fluid didn't fix my balking shifter problem anyway.

Update: You need to DRAIN both parts separately. (One plug per)
