Default You can still search with Google
put your search string (ie LS1 or D581 or LS2 or d585 wiring) and then"site:https://forums.audiworld.com/s4s6/" without the quotes and you'll get there.

My fear regarding vB is that the search will be an Index based search instead of the current Database search.

Index is less resource intensive, but also less useful. See the VWVortex search engine for comparison...
