I don't think so
Normally I would agree with that but I have driven it three days in a row and it has been fine. Shifted good and no check engine light. I am suprised, believe me. If it comes back at least I will know whats wrong with it and it will be easy to swap out. It would be nice to save them some money so they can get the "Katrina Passat" cleaned. Its nasty!

Re: I don't think so
Carl, now it's the moment for your to apply the "Whurt" or the "Berner" spray for electrical circuits(I use it a lot on the outboards electrical parts).
Some months ago, while working on the sea, I dropped my cell phone(Nokia 5310) in to the water. It was on the bottom of the sea(about 30ft) untill I had time to go home and pick my snorkel dive equipment(about four hours later). After recovering it, imerged it in flowing warm water for about 10 minutes, left it disassembled for 3 days over a heater. It worked!! Then applyed the "Berner" spray-it's propper to clean and avoid corrosion on electrical circuits as when it dryes, a fine coat of "grease" is left on the parts to avoid corrosion to build.
Congrats, you have the "real mechanic spirit"!

I was also amazed...

...when it turned on the third day! I was going to buy a new one and... Bingo. The only issue was that the batery was not "holding" the charge properly and I had to replace it later. These sprays are also good to apply on the ignition circuit- I advice you the "Whurt" one("Sabesto") over the Berner's ones as they don't seem to leave any "grease" after drying.
